History
Gazi University Speech and Language Therapy Department was established in 2017 within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Since the specified date, Speech and Language Therapy services have been carried out within the faculty. Four years of full-time undergraduate education is given in the program however, student admissions for the undergraduate program of the department have not started yet.
Vision
Making services accessible for all human who has speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in society and providing effective communication.
Mission
To be a department that prioritizes and contributes to the social benefits without any discrimination and can meet other health professionals on a multidisciplinary basis with its modern and independent working principle.
The purpose of the program
The primary aim of the program is to train SLTs who are competent, rational, researching, and constantly renewing themselves in the light of scientific developments and who are committed to ethical values and conscientious obligations. The SLT profession prevents communication, language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders encountered in society.
